My kids' will be reciting this poem on their Culminating Activity in Hands of Children School. This beautiful poem written by Cecil F. Alexander of Hymns for Little Children in 1848 is a favorite poetry piece among preschoolers. It teaches young boys and girls the beauty of life and God's creations. It let's youngsters develop oneness with nature and the trait of Godliness.
All Things Bright and Beautiful
All things bright and beautiful,
All creatures great and small,
All things wise and wonderful:
The Lord God made them all.
Each little flower that opens,
Each little bird that sings,
He made their glowing colors,
He made their tiny wings.
All things bright and beautiful,
All creatures great and small,
All things wise and wonderful:
The Lord God made them all.
The purple headed mountains,
The river running by,
The sunset and the morning
That brightens up the sky.
The cold wind in the winter,
The pleasant summer sun,
The ripe fruits in the garden,
He made them every one.
The tall trees in the greenwood,
The meadows where we play,
The rushes by the water,
To gather every day.
He gave us eyes to see them,
And lips that we might tell
How great is God Almighty,
Who has made all things well.
All things bright and beautiful,
All creatures great and small,
All things wise and wonderful:
The Lord God made them all.
All creatures great and small,
All things wise and wonderful:
The Lord God made them all.
Each little flower that opens,
Each little bird that sings,
He made their glowing colors,
He made their tiny wings.
All things bright and beautiful,
All creatures great and small,
All things wise and wonderful:
The Lord God made them all.
The purple headed mountains,
The river running by,
The sunset and the morning
That brightens up the sky.
The cold wind in the winter,
The pleasant summer sun,
The ripe fruits in the garden,
He made them every one.
The tall trees in the greenwood,
The meadows where we play,
The rushes by the water,
To gather every day.
He gave us eyes to see them,
And lips that we might tell
How great is God Almighty,
Who has made all things well.
All things bright and beautiful,
All creatures great and small,
All things wise and wonderful:
The Lord God made them all.

I use to recite this poem, too when I was in grade school. Thank the Lord for this wonderful world. However, men seem to forget that we're mere stewards and more often than not, greedily exhaust the natural resources. May the LORD have pity on us.
Thank you Sir Noel for checkin' out my blog. Tama po kayo madami na ang nagpapabaya sa ating inang kalikasan.
Hello from BC Canada. I was looking for this poem to write on my WordPress account. Googled it and saw your post. If you don't mind, I would like to use your link as a related article. Maraming pong salamat.
My son was singing this song by the Roden Boys Choir. It's a very nice hymn. I'm looking for the pattern to stitch the picture. Can you tell me how I can this pattern? I'm waiting for your answer. Many thanks in advance. Greetings from the Netherlands. Gonda.
