HA.N.Ds of Children School, Inc. – A Mommy’s Story

HA.N.Ds of Children School, Inc. – A Mommy’s Story
My kids just had their final trimestral exams last week and it was rewarding seeing them studying and excited to come to school even if it was an exam week. I consider that activity another milestone for HA.N.Ds of Children School, Inc. for instilling good study habits in our little ones and making them realize that learning is fun.  H.A.N.Ds stands for Helping and Nurturing the Difficulties of Children.
I remember when my kids just started schooling I was in a hurry for them to learn. I was always anxious and impatient. I easily get frustrated when they don’t get exactly what I taught them. Being a mom of kids studying in HA.N.Ds of Children School, Inc. changed the entire picture. I became more at ease at work and at home. I enjoyed my children more. I learned to take little steps together with them as they go through their learning and growing adventures.
Working moms have a hard time joggling motherly tasks, responsibilities at work, social life and time for the family. Good thing there are people who understand and readily give a helping hand. If you are a working mom like me, choose a school for your child that will help him learn and develop his personality at an early age. That is possible with a school with a lovable environment and people who care.
School year 2011 – 2012 will come to a close in just a few days. It’s HA.N.Ds of Children School, Inc. Culminating Activity on March 20, 2012 at the U.P. Theater, U.P. Diliman, Quezon City. Waiting for that day puts a smile on my face.

One of the greatest rewards of being a mom is seeing our children grow up with a love for learning. It's wonderful that you were able to find a great school to be your partner in instilling this love for learning.

Hi, Ms. Olga. Thank you for commenting. I'm lucky indeed as a mom raising happy kids. God sends his message through different people or situations we encounter in life.

Moms will always think of what's best for her kids. It's good that you found an excellent school and I think you are very much satisfied with the outcome. It's great that you shared this also, as other moms could also benefit from it.

Thanks Ms. Aileen. I can't help but share the wonders HANDs... is doing to my kids. I found the school when my in-laws kept on telling me to take him to a SPEd due to his speech delay but I don't want to deprive him of the chance to mingle with more kids his age. Good thing the teachers encouraged me to enroll my boys and they will see what they can do to help. Now, both my boys actively participate in class.

Hi, yuuki yes that’s right I sacrificed talaga to find a nice school for them. I took 1-day leave from work para ikutin ang nearby schools sa ‘min. Kelangan tlaga paglaanan ng oras

Hi Gelo, as parents we should be sensitive towards our child’s needs. I have humbled myself and accepted na I am not a superwoman who can do everything for my kids. So I looked for a school with kind teachers that can help me Sinuwerte naman

I’m sure he will Mommy Michi

Thanks Sis Anne Lei  dapat nga talaga sa magulang nagsisimula.

Hi Ms Rae, once motherhood knocks on your door I’m sure you will be good at it. Ang secret lang is enjoy every moment of it

Hi Ms. Cintamuni, At first it was difficult teaching the kids. Sobrang pressure but later on I realized ako lang rin nagpre-pressure sa sarili ko so kelangan rin mag-let go, at i-enjoy lang ung process

Ms. Jellybelly cute naman name Jellybelly. Cge Ma’am check out their website but if you’re just near the place drop by nlang sa school iba din kc kapag kausap ung mga teachers, ang babait kasi nila at love nila ang pagtuturo sa mga bata

Thanks Mommy Vernz

Thank you po Sir Gil Camporazo

Right Mommy Mona ganyan rin ako before. Until I changed my ways kasi pareho lang kami ng kids na nahihirapan. Teaching them became easier afterwards.

Thank you Ms. Reese

I too easily get impatient teaching my kids sometimes. I expect that the lessons should be easy for them. But I try to remember that they are kids and are just starting to learn about these things compared to how many years I've been in this world.
May trimestral na pala ngaun sa ibang gradeschool...Congratulations!

Cristine said...

very true Ms. Sarah. Thanks for commenting.

Cristine said...

Hi Mommy Jonalyn, yes I also did that very same mistake. I even told my son that, why can't you remember what I just taught you? That is just very easy. Then after saying that, I felt hurt I shouldn't have said those words. By doing so I only made learning difficult and less enjoyable for my kids.

Marinella said...

Congratulations for you and your children.

I am just confused. What is the difference between a normal school and that school?

Cristine said...

Hi Marinella my kids' school that I mentioned here is a normal school. It is just like any other private preschool and elementary school in the country in terms of curriculum and teaching method. The difference I see in this school as compared with the other schools I checked (in nearby places in QC) before enrolling my kids here is that the teachers are more accommodating when it comes to the learning needs of children.

Well in our child's case we make sure that his learning is as if he was just playing. We let him learn through plays and examples. Our kids got lot more things to learn so we as parents should always be with them as they learn.

I'm currently reading on the Montessori way of teaching. It's not the same as the school's we have here huh! Most don't adapt the real teachings of Maria Montessori. I hope when its time I'll find a school that I will be happy with just like you! :)

Kero, Thank you

Yes Ms. Helena, it follows the developmental approach.

Thank you Ms. Jessica, so sweet of you

Correct, Daddy Yashiro! We as parents should be our children’s first teachers. It‘s great that you made your child’s learning fun and enjoyable for him.

Thanks for visiting Miss Lizzie.
Hi Lady Spring. Kids have different learning needs and some are fast learners, some have special needs. It is really helps to get to talk to the teachers. Parents should be familiar with the way the teachers are teaching the kids so parents could teach the kids in their homework and help them review for exams.

Hi Ms. Mary. Yes that’s true. Make sure to find a safe school. Mahirap na kasi panahon ngayon.

Hi Madjewelled, Public schools nowadays kasi sobrang dami ng students, 1 teacher: minimum 60 students. Masikip ang classrooms and kulang ang mga gamit like what I experienced sa Proj 3 QC nag-try ako i-public school ung kids ko pero sobrang sikip na talaga

Hi Ms. Vera. Parent and teacher get to constantly communicate through the Parent Communication Notebook our child brings to school every day. When I get home from work I check it for announcements from the school or special notes from the teacher.

Hi Mommy Paula, yes I also learned about good schools there in Diliman and also those that provide speech therapy for kids sabi sa kin ng Pedia ng kids ko. Ihahanap ko dapat d’yan ung elder son ko before e.

Hi Ma’am Jackie. Sana dumami ang mga schools na concerned sa development ng kids.

May speech delay din yung son ko but we never thought of sending him sa SPEd. His progressive school actually helped develop his speech and social skills.

Keep the positive attitude, it will reflect on your kids.

When my kids were little and I was a working mom, I tried to teach them to read and do math. Suffice it to say, the very next year, they always enthusiastically refused my assistance on any homework. I win! Lol. And they are, on threat of my having to help them once again, all honor students.
